During these very hard times with our country being at war, our world suffering from economic recession and possibly a depression soon, I am personally so thankful for so much. I pray for our troops in Iraq everyday. I pray and think positive thoughts for President Elect Obama to help us turn our world around.
I wish you all a beautiful and peaceful Thanksgiving hopefully surrounded by the people that mean the most to you - for those of you who have loved ones in Iraq or Afghanistan, my prayers are with you all. You truly are the real heroes.

About Me
Hi Everyone!
Finally - I have a blog! I've been wanting to do this for a while now. The title of my blog is pretty much my life's motto. "Let's go so we can get back" it pretty much means the same as the Nike slogan "just do it". Don't over think it, don't slice and dice or analyze things to death. Of course, I'm a very big believer in always using my best judgement while thinking on my feet. I've learned during my 58 years of life that time goes so quickly that you can easily allow special moments slip by or find yourself turning around in disbelief when you realize you've missed out on a good opportunity.
About a year ago I questioned why anyone would want to maintain a blog - then I got smart one day and realized it is such an awesome way to not only stay in touch but it's sort of a cathartic way to journal your thoughts, opinions and reach out to "visit" with friends and family. Wow!
Technology is great, isn't it?
As for me, I'm a very fortunate soul - always have been. My parents are happy and healthy. I've had the same two parents all my life. My parents and sister live close by so family gatherings are easy. Even though my brother Chris is no longer with us, I feel so grateful that we had him in our lives for 52 years before we had to say good-bye. There is not one day that goes by that I don't think about him in some way. Losing him was certainly a difficult and sad time in all our lives but I look back at those last 13 days we spent with him until the end and feel like I learned so many positive and loving things about, not only my brother, but about myself and my entire family. I'd be absolutely nothing without my family.
Most of you who will care to glance at my blog once in a while already know that I have been married for 28 years to Joe Colgan (just another hugely fortunate part of my life) and that we have two daughters, Torrie, (who is married to the best son-in-law on the planet, David) and Chrissie. AND now and for the last 17 months we have Abby Grace - hold me back! I AM OBSESSED and never knew love could go this deep. Be Still my heart!
